Riding Far, LLC’s training program offers a comprehensive, horse-centered approach to developing confident, willing, and capable equine partners. Grounded in classical principles and a deep understanding of horse psychology and biomechanics, our program supports horses at every stage—from foundational groundwork to advanced work under-saddle.

Whether you’re starting a young horse, refining a seasoned partner, or overcoming specific challenges, we tailor each training experience to meet your goals and your horse’s individual needs. With clear communication, consistency, and compassion, we help horses thrive and riders gain the clarity, tools, and support to carry progress forward at home.

Training Horse Program

Life Skills
  • Halter training, leading, and tying
  • Grooming, bathing, and foot handling
  • Trailer loading and farrier prep
Groundwork
  • Yields to pressure, including turn on haunches, turn on forehand, and backing up
  • Lunging, half-circle exercises, and in-hand work
  • Developing a positive relationship to the bit through jaw releases and flexions
Riding
  • Confidence at walk, trot, and canter in the round pen, indoor arena, outdoor arena, and in the fields
  • Basic yields, advanced control, and lateral movements


Outstanding care from experienced horse owners
  • Ample turnout
  • Am/pm feeding
  • Triple Crown products and hay provided
  • 5 sessions per week 
  • 4 month minimum to ensure deep and lasting change
